Imphal, October 10 2025:
The Socialist Revolutionary Party (SOREPA), Kangleipak has called a general strike across Kangleipak/Manipur from 5 am to 5 pm on October 15.Religious functions, medical services, media and emergency services would be exempted from the purview of the general strike, according to a statement issued by SOREPA Publicity and Organisation Secretary MC Yaifabi.
It said that the annexation of Kangleipak/Manipur on October 15, 1949 did not come as a surprise.
Even though the Manipur National Assembly rejected the annexation, some people who had long submitted to the Indian elites welcomed it.
Their descendents are still alive.
They pretend to be patriots before the people and make all kinds of bold statements.
But once they reach Delhi, they adopt a servile attitude, it said.
To SOREPA, National socialism is more important than international socialism and it firmly believes that National socialism is the first step towards realising international socialism.
There is an inseparable link between National identity, National question, Nation building and political independence based on socialism, it asserted.
It is an inherent right of every erstwhile independent Nation to fight for independence.
The United Nations, instead of challenging or opposing this right, has been supporting the de-colonization process, SOREPA said.
The UN has taken up several steps to abolish colonialism from the planet.
In short, the liberation movements of the region are supported by the UN, it asserted.
Right to self-determination has two interpretations.
One is total sovereignty and the second one is internal self determination (limited sovereignty) .
The liberation movement of Kangleipak/Manipur is for total sovereignty.
There is no confusion in this objective but some people have been working to create confusion deliberately, it said.
People need to study the difference between right to self determination and internal self determination.
Internal self determination is an invention of imperial powers and they have been promoting this idea to suppress liberation movements, SOREPA said.
It is now clear that the 'idea of India' is now 'idea of Hindutva'.
The political agenda of the ruling elites of India and their "Hindu Deep State" has been shifted from Nehruvian Socialism to Sangh Parivar's "Akhanda Bharat" .
This was reflected well in the public functions held recently in commemoration of 100 years of RSS, the outfit remarked.
It said that the Sangh Parivar's neo-colonialism is openly supported by Hindu capitalists.
The people of Kangleipak/Manipur need to understand India's neocolonialism and take the liberation movement forward, it added.
