2-day National conference concludes

Senapati, May 05 2025: The two-day National conference on the theme "Revisiting Manipur's Socio-Economic and Political Landscape: Prospects, Challenges, and Future Roadmap" was successfully held on May 1 & 2,2025 at Don Bosco College (Autonomous), Maram.

The event was jointly organised by the Department of Political Science and the Department of Commerce, DBC (A) Maram, in collaboration with Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship (XIME), Chennai and the Department of Social Welfare, Senapati, Govt of Manipur.

Recognising the urgent needs and intervention in the State of Manipur, the two-day conference has brought together academicians, practitioners, research scholars, and students from various institutions to have an indepth dialogue on Manipur's socio-economic and political landscape by examining the challenges and opportunities and crafted a future road map to make Manipur a peaceful and a vibrant progressive State.

Throughout the conference, there was a comprehensive analysis on the socio-economic and political conditions of Manipur, identifying key challenges such as unemployment, education, healthcare access, drug abuse, infrastructural development, insurgency, ethnic tensions, and governance issues.

The discussion concluded with policy recommendations for fostering political stability, economic growth, and social harmony in Manipur.
