Foundation Day celebrated

Imphal, October 04 2025: Progressive Alliance For Leadership & Empowerment of Mothers (PALEM) celebrated its 1st Foundation Day at GM Hall, Imphal today.

The celebration held under the theme "Mangjil Thaba Khunai Ama Sembada Nupigi Thoudang" was graced by dignitaries, including Aribam Noutuneshwari Devi, retired District & Session Judge; Kumabam Jibanmala, president, PALEM; Takhellambam Demona Devi, president, Manipur Women's Federation; Ningthoujam Tomalei Devi, president, Phayeng Apunba Meira Paibi; and Khundrakpam Kumari Devi, ex-Zilla Parishad, Khangabok Part-III.

Speaking on the occasion, Kumabam Jibanmala said that PALEM was established to work for the upliftment and empowerment of women in the State.

She asserted that since its inception, PALEM has conducted various programmes/activities to provide necessary knowledge, skills, and guidance to women and help create a developed society.

"By investing in women, the society can achieve more equitable and sustainable growth", she added.

RIST

Research Institute of Science & Technology (RIST), Imphal celebrated its 15th Foundation Day at the Lecture Hall of DM College of Science, Dhanamanjuri University, Imphal today.

The celebration was graced by Prof N Rajmuhon Singh, chairman, Executive Council, RIST; Prof N Nimai Singh, director, RIST; Prof Ksh Birbal Singh, Principal, DM College of Science, DM University; and Prof L Ladu Singh, former Vice Chancellor, Bodoland University, Assam.

The event began with a welcome address by Dr A Keshwarjit Singh, Associate Professor, DM University, followed by speeches from the dignitaries.

Prof L Ladu gave the RIST Foundation Day lecture on the topic, "Spatial Analysis for Health and Demographic Research" .

As part of the event, the official website of RIST and North East Academy of Science were also inaugurated.

Yaibilen Children Home

The 42nd Foundation Day of Yaibilen Children Home was celebrated today at its premises in Keibi Sanapat, Imphal East district.

The celebration was graced by Lamlai AC MLA Khongbantabam Ibomcha; Nongthombam Rajendro, former president of ICHAM; and Yangoi Piba, president, Yaibilen Children Home as presidium members.

On the occasion, the management of Yaibilen Children Home extended then-heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the generous individuals who have been supporting and assisting the Children Home over the years.

The MLA and Nongthombam Rajendro also provided monetary assistance to the Home today to help and support the children staying there.
