Imphal, December 18 2024: Chief Minister N Biren Singh has sought the support and cooperation of all indigenous and recognised communities of Manipur to restore normalcy in the State.

Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of the Robvena Ni 2024 festival at Asufii Robvena Ground, Punanamei Village, Senapati district, the Chief Minister continued that people of Senapati especially civil society organisations like Naga Peoples' Organisation, United Naga Council, student associations have a big role to play in maintaining Manipur's unity, integrity and promote peaceful coexistence of all indigenous population.

N Biren Singh opened the three day festival by lighting the ceremonial fire.

The Chief Minister continued that Manipur has been facing an unfortunate situation since the last 19 months, but with God's grace the situation has started to improve slowly.

N Biren Singh also stressed on the importance of equal development.

He said that there can be no unity, peace and development in Manipur without mutual respect.

Saying that the Go to Hills was initiated and taken up to bring about equal development in both the hills and valley, N Biren said that the Government wants to bring more development in the hill districts.

He said that the Government has taken up an initiative to provide special health facilities like MRI, CT scan and others in hill districts like Senapati, Tamenglong, Ukhrul and Chandel.
