Patriots' Day traffic arrangements

Imphal, August 12, 2014: As usual, the Patriots' Day will be observed at Hicham Yaichampat near Moirangkhom, Kangla and BT Park Imphal on August 13, 2014.No vehicles except that of the Invitees having valid car passes issued by the State Home Department, Manipur shall be allowed to ply towards north of Chinga Trafic point, Sing & Co Moirangkhom on NH39, Keishamthong to Maharani Bridge and Khuyathong to Bazaar side, Khuyathong to north AOC and Sanjenthong to Western gate of Kangla and Keishampat Bridge on the Patriots' Day till the functions are over, according to a press note issued by the Superintendant of Police Imphal West.

So, all the buses and trucks coming from Thoubal side via Chinga traffic point shall be diverted at New Thumbuthong crossing and buses and trucks shall proceed to Central Bus Terminus via Khongman Mangin through (side of Takhelkhong) and Kongba Bazaar from 7 am onwards till the function is over at Hicham Yaichampat.

During the period, the buses on return journey will come along eastern side of NH 39 via north AOC traffic point and Khoyathong LIC traffic point.

The buses shall be diverted at Nitaipat Chuthek traffic point towards Keishampat and park at their normal pick up parking place facing west and shall proceed to Pishumthong Bridge and Chinga traffic point via Keishampat.

Bir Tikendrajit (BT) Park

All the jeep taxis coming via Chinga traffic point shall be diverted towards Pishumthong Bridge or shall be diverted at New Thumbuthong crossing.

All the light vehicles coming from Singjamei side shall be diverted either at New Thumbuthong crossing or Chingakham Leirak crossing.

No private vehicles are allowed to ply from Chingakham leirak crossing upto Krishna Premi Oil Depot.

No private vehicles are allowed to ply from GPO traffic point towards 1st MR gate.

All the buses and trucks coming from Mayang Imphal side shall be diverted at Khagempali crossing towards Kwakeithel and these vehicles can proceed upto Keishampat via Kwakeithel Bazar.

No vehicle will be allowed to cross Keishamthong Bridge from Mayai Lambi towards Yaiskul.

In the evening function, all buses and trucks coming from Thoubal side via Chinga traffic point shall be diverted at Loklaobung crossing towards New Thumbuthong eastern side or Sing & Co Moirangkhom towards Keishamthong.

No big vehicles such as one toner or above shall be allowed to ply along NH39 and BT road from Nitaipat Chuthek to Old Power House from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

All other vehicles including jeep, car, motor cycle, scooter, moped, hand pushed carts, bullock carts, rickshaw etc may not be allowed to ply along NH39 between Nitaipat Chuthek and Old Power House, BT Road between Kangla traffic point and Museum road from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm on August 13, 2014. No private vehicles are allowed to park between Kangla traffic point to Fire Brigade and M Sector.

All buses coming from Tiddim side shall be diverted at Keishampat junction via Wahengleikai, Nagamapal, Khoyathong, North AOC towards Central Bus terminus.

All buses and trucks coming from Sekmai side, Pukhao side shall be diverted at LIC traffic point and can park on the northern side of NH39 from PCTC Oil depot upto North AOC Oil depot from 1 pm till the end of the BT Road function.

No vehicles are allowed to ply from Fire Brigade and Diamond Tailoring crossing towards M Sector.
