The next round of talk to discuss the demand raised for an Alternative Arrangement for the Nagas of Manipur, outside the State Government and pending a settlement to the Indo-NSCN (IM) talk has been scheduled on February 12 at Senapati district head-quarters.
This will be the 5th round of talk centering around the demand for the Alternative Arrangement.
The date was fixed during a meeting between Union Home Minister Shushil Kumar Shinde, Chief Minister O Ibobi and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam at Delhi today.
Speaking to The Sangai Express a well placed source said that the meeting with the Union Home Minister took place in the morning today and added that the talk centred around the issues and demands put forth by the NSCN (IM) .

Though details of the talk today are not available, the date for the next round of talk over the Alternative Arrangement was fixed on February 12, said the source.
Joint Secretary (North East in charge) of Home Affairs, Shambhu Singh and a Special Secretary (Internal Security) will be part of the team representing the Centre at the tripartite talk, said the source and added that the State Government will be represented by Chief Secretary DS Poonia and some senior ranking officials.
The State Government had earlier maintained that the talk will not be at the political level but will be at the official level.
Significantly the February 12 date was set after the UNC had served an ultimatum to the Prime Minister that the next round of tripartite talk should be held on or before February 17 .
The Government has intimated this information to the UNC leaders today, reports NNN.
"We will minutely discuss and comment on it officially on Wednesday," said UNC president L Adani when contacted.
Ninglun Hanghal adds from Delhi : During the meeting with the Union Home Minister, Chief Minister O Ibobi urged that NSCN (IM) cadre, Livingstone Anal, accused of molesting a woman on December 18 at Chandel be arrested at the earliest possible.
Sources from the Home Ministry also said that the proposal to appoint PC Haldar as the interlocutor for the political dialogue with SoO signatories has been placed before the Cabinet Committee on Security.
