MPLF to fight for Manipur's integrity

Imphal, January 14: MPLF today said in a press statement that in the aftermath of observation of Black Day on October 15 last year.

The success over the three battalions of BSF at Sajik Tampak in the battle heralds a new beginning the Permanent Body of MPLF today said.

It showed the united strength of MPLF it said.

The people now believe the struggle after seeing the success of the MPLF cadres it pointed out.

The BSF planned to flush out the MPLF camp at Sajik Tampak under Operation Jawala.

It was planned by DIG, BSF PK Misra it added.

The 125 Bn, 64 Bn and 2nd Bn of BSF were involved and they attacked in four columns on Jan 8 early morning but the MPLF got prior information about the operation and cadres were alerted at Molnom a village ahead of Sajik and the battle was described as the biggest battle in the last 20 years in Manipur it added.

The MPLF used only smaller guns when BSF troops reached around 9 am of January 8 it said at Sajik but when rocket and grenade launchers were used all the BSF personnel ran away it said.

Assistant Commandant Vivek Saxena and another jawan died and many sustained injuries it said.

In the evening the jawans retreated and the MPLF cadres without having any food attacked the next morning in which the BSF personnel retreated to Paldai village it said.

Another BSF column from Sangaikot came but they were forced back it said.

After the BSF went back arms and ammunitions were recovered.

From the second day the MPLF launched attacks at various places.

Yesterday on Jan 13 at Kanglalongbi attacks were launched.

In an unprecedented way the MPLF launched attacks at so many places at the same time it said.

It was to encourage those fighting at Sajik and the people it said.

About 150 BSF were at Paldai.

Maj Gautam on Jan 9 requested the MPLF field commander in the radio set recovered from BSF to allow them to retreat.

They went back surrounded by villagers.

The MPLF cadres attacked the retreating BSF personnel it said.

They fired all the way back in which a girl died.

It condoled the death of the girl RK Thoibisana of Ningthoukhong.

A reception for the field commanders and the cadres were held on Jan 11 at 10 am it said in which the villagers also participated.

It claimed that eight BSF personnel died and 20 were wounded.

The DIG BSF Misra yesterday pointed out only two died.

MPLF will take a leading role to protect the state's integrity it said.

It said it will help the people in fighting for the integrity of the state.

The statement given by an individual that the land is Meiteiland is useless rumbling.

It urged all to fight for the integrity of Manipur.

MPLF will not attack IRB which consist of Manipuris it said.

It appealed to IRB not to attack MPLF cadres.

MPLF wants peace Real peace is not possible through the peace talks it said.

It will not freedom of Naga people and independence it said.

It will bring peace to India not to the people of Nagalard it said.

The Naga brethrens should remember all those who give their life for the struggle it said.

It appealed to all Nagas to go together with the MPLF.
