Nilamani to represent India at Asian Masters Athletics C'ship, AMESTA Zone II wishes

The All Manipur Elementary School, Teachers' Association (AMESTA) Zone-II, Imphal East has extended best wishes to State teacher Thiyam Nilamani who will be representing India in the 22nd Asian Masters Athletics Championship.
The championship will be held from November 8 to 12 at New Clark City, Philippines in the hammer and discus events, said AMESTA Zone-II in a statement.

Nilamani, a Hindi teacher from Khurai Ningthoubung Leikai, Tinsid Road, is a former National Hockey player who also shares his outstanding knowledge of sports, arts and culture to his students.
He had participated in numerous State and National masters athletics championships earlier, it said.
He is a life-member of Lalit Kala Sangam Music Institute, Loklaobung and Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch, it noted.
Thiyam Nilamani, who presently serves as a Hindi teacher at Khurai Popular High School, also holds the Sangeet Visharad degree of Bhatkhande Sangit Vidyapith, Lucknow and is an approved artist of the All India Radio, Imphal.
Apart from his noteworthy artistic, athletic and educational activities, he is also known for his community and social services, AMESTA Zone-II noted while wishing him grand success at the upcoming continental event.
