Imphal, November 04 2023: RCA-Lilong will lock horns with AKSDO-Khangabok in the ultimate clash of the 4th Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy organised by the Manipur Cricket Association.

RCA made it to the final today with a comfortable 72-run victory over Blue Hawk-Khurai in the semi-final staged at Model Hr Sec School and Oriental College ground.

RCA won the toss and opted to bat first but a prolific bowling performance from Blue Hawk's M Romesh (4/22) and W Rex (2/26) forced them to bundle out for 148 runs in 27.8 overs.

However, RCA's Nawaz Sharif (5/21) put in a more valiant bowling performance to remove five crucial Blue Hawk batters and set up Blue Hawk collapse at 76 runs within 24 overs.

For RCA, Naesh Hussain topscored with 25 runs as Md Saad, Md Zunaad Hussain added 19 and 17 runs respectively.

Md Samir Khan (16) and Md Danish Khan (15) also added two digit scores.

In reply, Blue Hawk's top five batters fell cheaply before Kh Nongdamba (16) and M Nepolian (13) added their insignificant double digit scores.

Md Zunad (2/14) of RCA also picked two wickets and Md Danish Khan, Md Soib and Naesh Hussain shared a wicket apiece to assist Nawaz Sharif, who was adjudged man of the match.

Elsewhere at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, AKSDO thrashed TCMDC-Thongju by 9 wickets to seal the remaining final berth.

TCMDC won the toss and amassed 135 runs for 8 wickets riding on Thomsan (41*) and Rain (41) but Bishorjit (81-ball 57) and Samson (92-ball 67) struck half centuries to propel AKSDO to a convincing victory in 28.5 overs with 9 wickets left in hand.

Kaiku (2/9 in 7 overs) was the best bowler AKSDO had today as Sanayai, Dinesh, Nunsghiba and Suranjit claimed a wicket each to keep TCMDC batters in check.

Samson of AKSDO who struck an unbeaten 67 and inspired the huge win was adjudged man of the match.

The final match is slated on November 6 at Model Hr Sec School and Oriental College ground.
