Imphal, March 10 2025: Manipur University won gold and a silver medal at the All India Inter University Best Physique (Men) Competition, 2024-25 hosted by Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Ernakulam, Kerala from March 7 to 9 .

In a release, MU Sports Committee informed that Leimajam Nongthang Singh (Western College, Konthoujam) won gold in 80 kg and Phamdom Arun Meetei (Ng Mani College, Khurai) silver in 70 kg as Thokchom Yaisana Meitei of Standard College, Kongba finished fourth in the 75 kg category.

The team was led by Standard College assistant professor K Surjit Meitei as manager and MU Sports Department's Maibam Shaolin Singh as coach.
