Imphal, January 11 2018: Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR) organised a one day block level awareness programme on POCSO Act, JJ Act and RTE Act at Sugnu Makha Leikai community hall, Kakching district.

MCPCR Chairperson Sumatibala Ningthoujam, Sugnu Municipal Council ward no 2 Councillor M Nanao and MCPCR member Kh Rajlakshmi, Sugnu SDPO, Athokpam Romendro and social worker Kh Sarat attended the awareness programme as dignitaries.

During the technical session of the programme, MCPCR programme officer Sumel Yumnam spoke on overview of POCSO Act while MCPCR member, Gabriel Golmei stressed on role of media in implementation of child right acts and law, MCPCR member, K Pradipkumar talked about the overview of JJ Act.

MCPCR member Ch Nabachandra highlighted the role and responsibilities of MCPCR while another member Montu Ahanthem on overview of RTE Act.
