Ukhrul, November 06 2023: Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS), the apex body of Tangkhul students, is all set to organise a "One Day Peace Rally" on November 8 at Ukhrul Headquarters.

A press conference was held today at TKS Office, Ukhrul which deliberated on the proposed peace rally.

Omry Ningshen, vice-president, TKS highlighted that the main purpose of the peace rally is to raise a collective voice to expedite the Indo-Naga peace dialogue based on the 2015 Framework Agreement and to reaffirm that the ongoing peace negotiation led by the collective leadership under the NSCN/GPRN has the mandate of the Naga people.

He added that the rally will begin at 10 am and will start from two different points in Ukhrul town.

Later, a public meeting will be convened to press on the demand for an early and honourable solution to the Naga political issue.

TKS has further appealed to all concerned Naga citizens to participate in the peace rally in unison.
