Govt urged to repair Tengkongjang school

Noney, September 24 2023: Tengkongjang Higher Secondary School, the only higher secondary school in Noney district headquarters, situated at Longmai village is not able to operate to its full capacity due to non repair of four classrooms that also house laboratory and library, and the roof (GCI sheets) of the school's veranda which was blown away by heavy wind on April 20, 2023.Owing to the non-repair even after five months, the classrooms including laboratory and library get frequently waterlogged.

Speaking to media persons, principal Philip Kamei confided that the matter has been intimated to the authorities through the ZEO concerned, but to no avail as there is no positive action taken till date.

He then appealed to the higher authority to look into the matter seriously and redress grievances of the students and teachers.
