Killing of Moreh SDPO condemned

Imphal, November 06 2023: Indian Association of Lawyers, Manipur Chapter has condemned the killing of Moreh SDPO Ch Anandkumar by Chin-Kuki militants while he was supervising construction of a new helipad ground in Moreh town on October 31 .

In a release, the Association recalled that Ch Anandkumar was well-experienced in the counter-insurgency operation, sincere and dedicated police officer of rare character who dedicated his life to the cause of the state and country with indomitable courage.

Had the state government made adequate security deployment in Moreh, the police officer may not have lost his life, it lamented, while condemning the nefarious act of the Chin-Kuki militants involved in perpetrating the crime as well as the failure of the state and union governments to face the foreign aggression for protecting the territorial integrity of the state and country.
