Waari Leeba competition concludes

Thoubal, November 04 2023: A 10-day state level Waari Leeba competition organised by Thoubal District Waari Leeba Association under the sponsorship of Art and Culture Chief Minister Tengbang concluded at Multiplex Hall, Tentha Khongbal on Saturday.

The valedictory programme was attended by Sangeet Natak Kala Academy, New Delhi advisory committee member Shamulailatpam Naba Sharma, 9 Tentha Zilla Parishad nominee member Khangembam Priyojit, Tentha gram panchayat pradhan Naorem Pradeep and up pradhan Moirangthem Rajen as presidium members.

Palungbam Ranibala of Sagolband won first prize in female category of Waari Leeba competition, while Maibam Shyama Devi of Singjamei Irom Pukhri Mapal and Moirangthem Sanatombi DeVi of Tentha bagged second and third prize respectively.

In male category, Laishram Ibotomba of Thoubal Leishangthem and Soraisham Gunindro of Yairipok Bamol Leikai were adjudged joint winner, Laishram Somen of Tentha secured the second prize, while Laimayum Suranjoy of Charangpat bagged third prize.

Floral tributes were also paid to the departed members of Thoubal District Waari Leeba Association on the occasion.
