Senapati, September 24 2023:
A free medical camp was organised by Poumai Naga Naotumai Me (Poumai Naga Women Union) under Kangpokpi Area Poumai Naga Union as more than 600 patients around the area came to get medical assistance.
The camp provided cost-free treatment and free medicines from various departments.
The Nagas residing around Kangpokpi had been deprived of adequate medical care since the start of the unrest in the state on May 3, the organisers said.
The medical camp was organised under the theme "Service to humanity is service to God".
"As mothers, we want to help our poof villagers who couldn't get proper medical attention due to the ongoing conflict," said Delilah Pao, president PNNM.
She continued that the camp was for those in need of medical treatment and medicine regardless of their ethnicity and tribes, adding that the PNNM was happy to see many Nagas from different villages and tribes, Nepalis and others in the queue.
The union also expressed gratitude to the medical team for their yeoman service, helping the helpless and the needy.
The PNNM expressed their sincere gratitude to Kangpokpi CMO, DC and SP Kangpokpi, Senapati CMO, well wishers and generous contributors and also thanked Asahrii Clement, president PNTM and his colleagues for their cooperation and constant support in all their endeavours.
