Theatre workshop for school students concludes

Kakching, September 24 2023: The month-long theatre workshop for school students organised by Liberty Theatre, Kakching under the theme "Know Your Identity" at Grace Cottage Academy, Kakching concluded on Sunday.

The valedictory function of the workshop which was organised under the sponsorship of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, was held at the auditoriumof Library and Information Centre, Kakching.

Presided over by Liberty Theatre president Yambem Satya Singh, the function was attended by Cottage Academy principal Kshetrimayum Chaoba Singh and Macha Chanu Kakching president Dr Nongmaithem Pramodini Devi as presidium members.

Speaking at the event, Liberty Theatre secretary Uttamkumar Naorem informed that the workshop had been conducted not only to impart knowledge of theatre and to help students become artistes in future, but also to develop the personality of the students.

The workshop attended by around 30 students of Grace Cottage Academy provided the students trainings on theatre, art and culture and discipline among others.

A play titled "Manipur Khunnaida Nupi" which was a product of the month-long workshop was also show cased on the occasion and certificates distributed to the participating students.
