No recruitment process in JNIMS: Dir

Imphal, February 22 2024: Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) director Prof Dr L Deben has clarified that there is no recruitment process for the institute and further cautioned of taking appropriate legal actions if anyone is involved in luring candidates under the pretext of providing jobs in the medical institute.

Speaking to media persons at his office on Thursday, Dr Deben confided that several individuals including politicians enquired him about process for recruit-ment in JNIMS.

Considering such enquiries, it is evident that some miscreants started collecting money by spreading false information about recruitment in the institute, he said.

While clarifying that there is no recruitment process in JNIMS at the juncture, he cautioned that legal actions will be taken up against all those involved in collecting money by deceiving the people with promise to secure jobs.

The director further urged the people to inform nearby police station if they come across such miscreants.

Stating that recruitment of the institute will be done through proper advertisement, he appealed to stop such act of deceiving the people amidst the present challenging situation in the state.
