Mega peace rally held in Noney

Noney, February 06 2024: With an objective to promote congenial environment in Khoupum area and in all Zeliangrong regions, Rongmei Luh Phwam Khoupum Area (RLPKA) organised a mega peace rally at Khoupum valley in Noney district on Tuesday.

The rally which was participated over 1000 women began from Gaidimjang Part-1 and culminated at Thanagong playground after passing through Taosiamjang, Duithanjang and Khoupum dam area.

The rallyists held placards inscribed with slogans like 'We want peace', 'No peace, No gain', 'No harassment', 'No room for blood thirsty' and 'Love no bullets' .

The rally was participated by many women leaders including Rongmei Luh Phwam Khoupum Area secretary Jangaingamliu Gonmei.

The purpose of the rally was to ensure peaceful environment in Khoupum area in particular and Zeliangrong Region and Nagalim in general; halt operation, cease bloodshed among armed factions/groups and to stop killing among brethren of same blood, among others.
