Uikey completes 1 year in Raj Bhavan

The first anniversary of Governorship of Anusuiya Uikey was celebrated today at Raj Bhavan.
During the function held at the Darbar Hall, the Governor along with her Secretary Bobby Waikhom released a coffee table book with Hindi title "Mere Abinav Prayas" meaning My Innovative Efforts, said a press release from Raj Bhavan.
The Governor also distributed certificates of appreciation to seven CRPF personnel posted at Raj Bhavan and a driver each of Raj Bhavan and Police Department in recognition of their commendable service, it added.
At the function, Anusuiya Uikey thanked the officers, staff and security personnel for their co-operation and support extended in discharging duties for the welfare of the people of the State.

She said, since inception in office as Governor, many developmental initiatives have been taken up in the Raj Bhavan.
Expressing serious concern over the situation in the State, Governor said that efforts are being put in by the Centre and the State continuously to contain the violence in the State.
The Governor continued that peace can be restored in the State with the support of the people especially CSOs, women and student leaders.
The Governor also said that she is in touch with the Central leaders, while expressing hope that peace will prevail in the State soon.
She appealed to the people to extend support to the Government to restore normalcy.
Saying that Raj Bhavan is always open to the common people, the Governor added that she is impressed by the cultural diversity and traditions of the State.
Under Secretary to the Governor, M Meena Devi spoke about the various developmental initiatives taken up by the Governor for the welfare of the people of the State and Raj Bhavan.
