"Dengue under control in Singjamei AC"

Dengue Help Line Centre, Singjamei Assembly Constituency, chairman K Saratchandra Sharma on Saturday announced that the centre has managed to successfully control the spread of Dengue in the constituency.
Briefing media persons today at the Dengue Help Line Centre office in Singjamei, K Saratchandra shared that since the formation of the Dengue Help Line Centre on October 19 under the supervision of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and MAHUD Minister Y Khemchand, members of the centre have been working day & night to control the Dengue outbreak in the constituency.
He continued that volunteers of the centre who have been trained under the Malaria Department, carried out a mass inspection in Singjamei area and found larvae of mosquito causing Dengue from about 79 houses.
"Out of the 19 people tested for Dengue, 17 were found positive", said K Saratchandra while adding that so far three aged persons have passed away due to Dengue.
He also asserted that source reduction exercises and fogging are almost over for the Singjamei area.
"Spread of Dengue is under control.
However, the centre will continue to take preventive steps in the constituency to prevent any casualties", he added.
