Training for polling officials conclude

Kakching, April 15 2024: Kakching District concluded its final round of training for all drafted polling personnel today, with the last training sessions held at the Training Hall ofthe DC Office Building (New Block), DC office complex, Kakching.

The training focused on preparing Polling Officers for Poll Day, including familiarization with polling materials, Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and VVPAT handling, polling processes, the use of mobile applications like e- Atlas and Poll Star app and other official duties.

The first session was led by teams from ARO Sugnoo, ARO Special AC Inner, ARO Special AC Outer, ARO Wabagai, and ARO Kakching and with the participation of 192 trainees and was overseen by Binbin Maisnam SDC Waikhong HQ; O Poreinganba Khumancha, SDC Waikhong; Moirangthem Gunamani Singh, SDC Sugnoo; Athokpam Suranjoy, District Level Master Trainer, Junior BDO of Kakching CD Block; Moirangthem Medhajit Singh, VLW Kakching Block; Thangjam Sangita Devi, SDC HQ Kakching, and Yumnam Gautam Singh, Computer Operator (Election Staff).

Participants also received instruction on their responsibilities such as managing EVMs and conducting mock polls.

The second session included four batches of Presiding Officers and Polling Officers and was conducted by teams from ARO Kakching, ARO Hiyanglam, and ARO Sugnoo.

The training was held under the supervision of Thangjam Sangita Devi, SDC HQ Kakching; Moirangthem Manitomba Singh, DRM; David Langpoklakpam, NFO NIC; O Poreinganba Khumancha, SDC Waikhong; Moirangthem Gunamani Singh, SDC Sugnoo; Moirangthem Narpsh Singh, AC Coordinator Kakching; Khaidem Deban Singh, AC Coordinator; Binbin Maisnam, SDC Waikhong HQ, and Md Sahir Khan, Computer Operator.

Altogether a total of 152 officials attended the second session of the third round of training.

With this, the final round of training for the Presiding Officers and Polling Officials concluded today for Kakching District under the supervision of District Election Officer (DEO), Kakching.
