Dimapur, April 13 2015 :
The impasse between the NSCN (IM) and the Government of India (GoI) triggered by the recent walkout staged by the former over the National Investigation Agency's (NIA) summon served on Isak Chishi Swu, Thuingalang Muivah and VS Atem and others is lkely to be settled soon at the "higher level" .
Sources told Newmai News Network (NNN) that authorities from the Government of India have been talking to NSCN (IM) leadership in New Delhi in an effort to resolve the matter.
NSCN (IM)'s Ceasefire Monitoring Cell (CFMC) had decided not to participate in any of the ceasefire meetings convened by Ceasefire Monitoring Group (CFMG).
However, sources said there was positive development after the issue was discussed at the "higher level" .
On March 26, NSCN (IM) representatives walked out from the meeting with the CFMG held at Police Complex, Chumukedima in Dimapur.
It was the 72nd meeting between the CFMG and the CFMC.
NIA had 'summoned' NSCN (IM) leaders Isak Chishi Swu, Thuingalang Muivah, VS Atem and some other leaders and accused them of "waging a war against Indian Union" .
Irked by this act, NSCN (IM) staged a walkout from the meeting on March 26 .
