LNC, Charenamai laud Naga accord

The Liangmai Naga Council (LNC) has expressed satisfaction that the framework for the Naga peace accord has been inked Government of India and the NSCN-IM.
The LNC has also lauded the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the collective leadership of the NSCN-IM.
The Liangmai body expressed hope that the 'framework agreement' was possible by the God's grace and the persistent services of the Naga leaders.
The LNC also saluted the Naga leaders and all those people who have contributed to the Naga cause to come this far.
Meanwhile, the LNC expressed happiness that NSCN-IM chairman Isak Chishi Swu's health has improved.
The LNC prayed that the Almighty will continue to lead the Naga leader.
Charenamai lauds : Former Lok Sabha MP Mani Charenamei has congratulated the collective leadership of NSCN-IM for signing framework agreement with the Government of India on August 3 to bring an end to the six decades old protracted political struggle of the Nagas.
"Through your visionary and courageous leadership and selfless sacrifices, the Naga people are redeemed from historical, political, social and economic injustice.
Through the signing of the Historic Peace Agreement a new chapter is opened to the future Naga generations assured of security, peace, prosperity, equality and dignity.
Both of you are the greatest living heroes in the history of the Nagas," said the former Lok Sabha MP.
"Both of you will be remembered by every living Naga as God's chosen leaders who saved the Naga people from oppression and historical injustice," he added.
"May the Lord continue to guide and lead you as you continue to endeavour to implement all the charters of the Historic Peace Agreement to the fullest satisfaction," the former MP wished.
Mani Charenamei also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making it possible to sign the historic Peace Agreement with the NSCN (IM) .
"Your visionary statesmanship, courage and determination to resolve the six decades old protracted Naga insurgency problems is deeply appreciated and will be remembered by the Naga people in all the years to come.
Your undoubted respect for the rights of the Nagas in the spirit of equality is laudatory.
Our love and respect for you will always remain in our hearts in all the years to come," he added.
