The campaign seeks to bring improvement in women's economic condition, social standing, education, healthcare, political representation and to address crimes and violence against women.
Stating that the condition of women has deteriorated under the BJP rule, she maintained that women suffer increased subjugation and financial dependence.
In addition, price hikes affect women substantially and they do not have access to nutritional food while expectant mothers face various hurdles in getting proper medical care.
Maintaining that women have greater barriers to education and healthcare, Mutum Sarma claimed that incidents of attacks on women's modesty have seen an uptick during the BJP Government's rule.
The MPMCC president asserted that the Nari Nyay campaign was launched to identify and resolve the issues faced by women.
Further, she urged women to take part in the campaign and share their grievances without any hesitation.
The ceremony was attended by numerous MPMCC members.
