Altogether seven suspected cadres of the United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) including one from Myanmar have been arrested by security forces in the course of search operations carried out at Moreh.
Arms and ammunition were also seized from their possession.
On the other hand, some Govt officials enroute to Moreh on official duty were threatened and forced to turn back from Sinam village by Kuki militants.
Following the killing of SDPO Chingtham Anand Kumar by Kuki militants at Moreh on October 31, security forces including Manipur Police and Central paramilitary forces have been carrying out intensive search operations in the border town.

A combined team of Tengnoupal district police, Special Commando, police commando, MR, IRB, BSF, 5 Assam Rifles and women police personnel carried out search operations today from 8 am till noon at Zion Veng, Chavangphai, Canan Veng Forest Gate and adjoining areas.
In the course of the search operation, seven individuals were detained and they were identified as George Khongsai (20) s/o Jacob of Joldan village, Letgoulen Doungel (25) s/o Lethang of Zion Veng, Jangkhohao Haokip (34) s/o late Jamkithang of Zion Veng, Jangkhomang Baite (21) s/o Holkhozam of Muanom Veng, Netingam Lupho (55) s/o Jamkhothang of Yangoupokpi, Jangkho-hao Lupho (45) s/o Lunkhopao of Yangoupokpi and Nenginpao s/o Mang-thang from Namphalong, Myanmar.
Altogether 102 rounds of ammunition, one ammunition belt, one Chinese hand grenade, 10 gms of gunpowder, 60 gms of suspected Sulphur powder, one camouflage jacket, 2515 gms of suspected Ammonium Nitrate, four mobile phones, four identity cards and Aadhaar cards were recovered from their possession, sources informed.
SDPO Moreh, Chingtham Anand Kumar was overseeing construction of a helipad at Eastern Shine ground when Kuki militants shot him dead with a sniper rifle on October 31 .
Following the dastardly attack, security forces have been carrying out intensive search operations in the border town.
On the other hand, some Government officials and staff who were going to Moreh on official duties were blocked by suspected Kuki militants along Imphal-Moreh road at Sinam village, Tengnoupal district today.
The Kuki militants forced the Government officials to turn back from Sinam village.
They also threatened the Government officials not to come to Moreh ever again.
