MU Inter College Football Tourney : SSGG College vs TS Paul Women's College in title clash

The final line up of the 17th A Borchand Singh Memorial Manipur University Inter College Women's Football Tournament was completed today with TS Paul Manipur Women's College and Shree Shree Gouragovind Girls' (SSGG) College securing semi-final victories.
In the first semi-final match of the tournament hosted by Ng Mani College-Khurai Chairenthong at YOSC playground Khabeisoi, TS Paul beat Biramangol College, Sawombung 1-0 to seal the final berth.
The lone goal that made all the difference was scored by L Rejiya in the 26th minute.
SSGG College also secured a similar victory over hosts Ng Mani College as P Mira hit the winner in the 46th minute.
The final match starts at 1.30 pm tomorrow.
Meanwhile in the A Pratap Singh Memorial Inter College Men's Football tournament, YK College and Western College post contradictory wins to secure pre-quarter final tickets.
In the first match of the day, YK College rode on Kh Hemlet's double hat-trick to pulverise UNACCO College 16-0 .
Kh Hemlet gave YK College a prolific start scoring the opener in the 8th minute before pumping in five more goals in the 12th, 30th, 48th, 61st and 75th minutes to set up the comprehensive victory.
L Rajboy (19', 30') and K Sanathoi (21', 24') also contributed two goals apiece in YK College victory as Anil Moiragthem (36'), S Yaiphaba (43'), N Bikram (52'), O Dayasagar (59'), Y Joychandra (70') and H Ranjan (80') added a goal each.
Meanwhile, Western College got the better of Thambal Marik College by 4-2 goals on penalties after playing out a 1-1 draw during the regulation time.
K Arunkumar handed Western College the lead in the 14th minute but Thambal Marik College fought back and drew level through Lankaorung in the 31st minute.
As the two sides remained unseparated till the end of the regulation time, the game was decided via penalty shoot-out where in Moex, Vasker, Borish and Tompokchao all found the target for the winning team and only Ronaldo and Dineshor scored for Thambal Marik College.
Biramangol College will play Manipur University in the first match tomorrow from 12.30 pm before JNIMS take on Thoubal College from 2 pm .
