Humanitarian aid extended, Medical camp conducted

86 Battalion CRPF in collaboration with Lamphel Sanakeithel Development Authority on Wednesday organised a 1-Day Free Medical Camp for internally displaced people (IDP) at Lamphel, Sanakeithel, Imphal West district.
The medical camp was conducted under the supervision of Mohamand Yusuf, Commandant, 86 Bn CRPF, said a release issued by CRPF.
It was attended by Mohamand Yusuf, doctors, nurses, officers of 86 Bn CRPF and members of Lamphel Sanakeithel Development Authority.
During the camp, a medical team of 86 Bn CRPF provided treatment, health counselling and distributed medicines to about 200 patients.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohamand Yusuf expressed his gratitude to Lamphel Sanakeithel Development Authority for their cooperation in organising the medical camp and added that the camp was conducted with the aim to provide health check-up for the people who are unable to visit hospital and for senior citizens.
He expressed hope that the medical camp will create an atmosphere of goodwill and positive relationship between the force and people.
The members of Lamphel Sanakeithel Development Authority and the public applauded the grand initiative of 86 Bn CRPF and extended their heartfelt gratitude with the hope that many more similar events would continue in the future.
Meanwhile, former students of Dhanamanjuri College of Science (1996-1999 Batch) continue to extend humanitarian aid to the displaced people who are staying at various relief camps across the State in a bid to provide some relief and alleviate their problems caused by the prevailing tense situation.
Till October 24, 2023, financial aid and relief materials worth more than Rs 3.38 Lakh have been provided to IDP taking shelter at relief camps set up at different places.
The donations were made with the funds contributed by 175 former students of the college.
Relief materials were donated to the relief camps opened at Konthoujam Makha Leikai, Kumbi Tera Kha Upper Primary School and Lamlai on October 21 while donations were made at Nungoo Primary School, Nungoo Community Hall, Thangalawai and Phougakchao Ikhai on October 22 and at Tangjeng Mangjil and City English School Sugnu on October 23 .
Former students of the college also provide financial aid and blankets to the IDPs taking shelter at the relief camp opened in Recent Higher Secondary School Sagoltongba on October 24 .
Besides, Mayang Imphal Assembly Constituency MLA & Manipur Industrial Development Corporation Limited (MANIDCO) Chairman, Kongkham Robindro Singh today provided a monetary aid of Rs 20,000 to help the medical treatment of celebrated comic artist Rangilal.
Rangihal, a resident of Nambol Awang Leikai is currently admitted at the ICU of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal.
