Imphal, March 17 2023: Thamla FC sealed their quarter final slot in the ongoing 2nd Chumbang Cup with 2-1 win over UFC today at Chumbang ground in Chandel district.

Malreng gave UFC a slender 1-0 first half lead finding the back of the Thamla FC net in the 20th minute but Darpol drew level for Thamla FC in the 50th minute before Boaz hit the winner in the added time (80+2') .

In the other matches of the day, KAPAAM and TACHAPA emerged victorious to set up a pre-quarter final date.

KAPAAM overwhelmed N Wangparel Lhoumi team 7-0 courtesy a poker from Lian (43', 46', 58', 62') and a goal each from Ringshangam (3'), Bedeenpar (26') and Bephawar (73') to enter the pre-quarter final.

Meanwhile, Tahchapa rode on a treble from Doupu (30', 48', 57') and a goal each from Paocha (18') and Manggoulen (34') to knock out Chumbang-A team 5-3.Ruthou (14'), Daimas (38') and Taimanhoi (80+1') scored for the losing team.
