2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket : PTRC, CRAU script emphatic wins

Imphal, January 23 2019: PTRC,Patsoi trounced KIYC, Kshetri Iril Mapal by 65 runs in a Group D league match while CRAU, Khamnam Bazar thrashed TCMDC, Thongju by 8 wickets in a Group A league match of the 2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament being organised by Langthabal Sporting Club under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground.

The first match of the day saw Rinju hit a half century (53 in 38 balls) and Gemeson gathered 45 in 52 balls after PTRC chose to bat first enroute to their huge 65 run victory against KIYC, which were also beaten by PCC in their previous tie.

Saurav also added 23 run in this innings to help PTRC post a target of 148 runs for 4 in 20 overs' .

Abdul Hamid and Abdul Rahim of KIYC picked up two wickets each in this innings before they were bowled out at 82 for 10 in 17.5 overs.

Rishi was the highest run getter for KIYC making 35 while Mujibur scored 13 runs in 30 balls before the following order fall slumped with single digit scores or no runs as PTRC's bowlers Bishorjit and Jotin picked up 3 wickets each and Joyraj claimed 2 wickets.

Jotin of PTRC was named man of the match.

In the Group A league match, TCMDC which won the toss and opted to bat first managed 104 runs for 7 in 20 overs.

Priyobanta got the highest 36 runs in 22 balls while Suraj added another significant 27 runs before losing their ground.

CRAU's Milan and A Joy secured 2 and 3 wickets each in this innings.

The chase was too smooth for CRAU as they reached 106 in 17.3 overs losing 2 wickets.

Amitkumar shone with the bat making 43 runs in 41 balls while Somit and Rakesh scored 17 and 19 runs each to complete the chase.

Sanaton and Nganthoi of TCMDC had one wickets each in this innings.

A Joy of CRAU was adjudged man of the match.

SU will meet MODEL CLUB in the next match tomorrow at 9 am while SCCC will face YWC-L latter in the day.
