IRB held for stealing money

Imphal, March 24 2011:
An Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) trooper was apprehended while allegedly attempting to steal Rs.50,000 from the cash counter of State Bank of India (SBI) main branch Imphal on March 19, police said.
Md Hesamuddin (31) of Mayang Imphal Bengoon was caught red-handed by CRPF personnel on sentry duty at the bank around 12.30 pm.
An identity card of Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) trooper bearing I/Card no.04538 along with a mobile hand set and a purse was recovered from the possession of the culprit.
He was later handed over to City Police station and FIR case has been lodged, police added.
