Imphal, March 21:
Disclosing that one 800 pair underground jelly filled cable of 20 m at Hicham Yaichampat was found stolen on March 20 night, the BSNL, Imphal regretted that service to telephone subscribers of Keishamthong, Kwakeithel and adjoining areas would remain disrupted for sometime as immediate restoration impossible due to insecurity and shortage of store items, said a release.
The BSNL release also expressed strong resentment that cable theft in the said area and other locations of the district had been taking place with alarming frequency and called upon the general public to check such a menace.
