Fulfilling one of the cherish dreams of the people of the area, Health and Family Welfare Minister Ph Parijat today inaugurated two newly constructed Primary Health Sub-Centres one each at Phoubakchao Ikhai and Bhanukon today.
Speaking at the occasion, the Minister made it clear that the Govt does not consider the two newly inaugurated health centres as hospitals but as a health point from where immediate medical care of the people could be looked after.
In order to ensure proper functioning of the health centres in Bishnupur, 80 Integrated Social Health Activists have to be appointed.
These health activists would not be given any salary but certain amount as sitting allowance for rendering their services as and when it is required in organising health awareness campaign from time to time, the Minister informed.
In connection with the reported cases of child abductions in the State, the Minister said public should remain alert and observed that it is nothing but invitation of a civil war.
MLA N Mangi, Health Director Dr W Motilal and Family Welfare Director Dr Th Biren also participated in the inaugural function of the two health centres.
