Eight students of Sainik School, Imphal have brought laurels to the school by making it through the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy entrance examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
In a statement, PIB (Defence Wing) said that out of 20 students who appeared for the examination from Sainik School, Imphal, eight made it through, which is a high rate of success.
The course is set to commence at NDA, Khadakwasla, Pune in July next year.
The Principal of the school, Colonel Arun Datta has also promised to do everything possible to ensure that all his cadets qualify in the SSB while Colonel Bharpur Singh of the NCC Group Hqs, Imphal who has been a Group Tasking Officer with the SSB has promised to train students for SSB if and when required.
