Imphal, July 29 2010:
The Poumai Naga Students' Union (PTM) has strongly condemned the alleged act of the UCM peace keeping volunteers for damaging and targeting three Mao bound passenger vehicles whereby seriously injuring a passenger on July 26 at North AOC.
In a press release, the student body said that it was grievously opposed to such communal acts masterminded by responsible organisations based in Imphal valley which have been proudly claiming to be upholding the unity and integrity of the State.
It further accused the Government of Manipur of encouraging such communal actions by remaining silent.
Such actions are nothing but just an invitation to more problems and troubles between the two communities.
Recalling about the May 6 incident in which two students were killed and hundreds injured, the student body said these systematic aggression and insults to Nagas are painful to be tolerated.
