Teachers burn down two trucks

Imphal, April 15 2015 :
Two trucks were completely burnt down by unknown miscreants on Tuesday at 6:40 pm in between Raengkhung and Awangkhul village along NH- 37 under Noney police station of Tamenglong District.
One truck was belongs to Sushee private Ltd and the other to Triveni Construction Company which were being engaged in construction works of Jiri-Tupul Railway Projects.
A case has been registered to the
Noney Police station.
Meanwhile All Manipur Hill Districts Contract Basis Teachers' Association (AMHDCBTA) has claimed the responsibility for the burning and damaging two trucks between Raengkhung and Awangkhul village along NH- 37 under Noney police station of Tamenglong District on Tuesday.
According to the statement issued by the AMHDCBTA Convener PA Epchan, warned the Government that it is the beginning an intense form of agitation and many work companies/ agencies will be covered by the agitation.
The present agitation is supported by various student bodies and civil societies which have been widely published and broadcasted in the Media.
He alleged that the Government has not paid attention nor done anything to address the problem even though they have submitted anumerous memorandums to the Government of Manipur.
He further warned that if the Government of Manipur fails to bring amicable solution at the earliest, many more unwanted activities will be flare to come in four corners of the State and for all unwanted incidents the State Government should be held solely responsible.
