Sit in protest held at Naransena against alleged murder of Sandhyarani

The villagers of Naransena, Thamnapokpi, Phubla, Sunushiphai and Ningthoukhong on Wednesday staged sit in protest at Naransena Keithel protesting the murder the Sandhyarani.
During the protest, the villagers demanded to award capital punishment to perpetrator Maisnam Suraj Singh who allegedly abandoned the body of Sandhyarani.
They also demanded befitting punishment to Maisman Ongbi Baruni (50) and Soibam Ongbi Aruni who are involved in the alleged murder so that such unwanted incident should not be repeated in the future.
It is noteworthy to mention that Oinam Sandhyarani (25) of Naransena was married to Maisman Suraj Singh (29) of same locality and they have a daughter of 2 plus year old.
On August 10 at about 2:30 am, the body of Sandhyarani was found among the herb grown at the residential compound of Suraj's sister Soibam Ongbi Aruni Devi of the same locality.
Narrating about the incident, Sandhyarani's mother Memcha Devi brief the media that she was informed on that day about the missing her daughter.
In the mean time, the Aruni's husband Soibam Sopen has dialed to the mobile number of late Sandhyarani and heard the ring tone from the herb.
On glancing over there, Sandhyarani's body was found in an unnatural condition, Memcha added.
She further stated that Meisnam Suraj and Meisnam Ongbi Baruni Devi were now in police custody with necessary remand from the competent court and Aruni Devi is now absconding from the police.
Necessary post mortem has been conducted at RIMS hospital on August 11 last; however the Sandhyarani's body is collected.
Memcha further informed the media persons that Suraj had allegedly been torturing his wife for the last one year.
However, she soothed Sandhyarani to bear the hardship for the sake of their small daughter.
Contrary to their protest, the protesting villagers have decried the act of capturing photos of the sit in protest by replacing the displaying placards with those of the placards mentioning against the bomb explosion at the residence of Moirang Kendra MLA M Prithviraj Singh.
The protesters also conveyed that the local MLA Prithviraj never visited the victim's family and condemned the act of capturing concocted photos of the protesters with his readymade placards which were carried in a vehicle.
