INTUC celebrates 68th foundation day

Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), Manipur branch observed its 68th foundation day cum 3rd May Day celebration today at Manipur Press Club.
Chief Guest of the event MP Dr T Meinya Singh, during his speech said work charge and muster roll labourers, instead of resorting to protests, should channel their grievances to the Labour Minister and sort out differences through dialogue.
INTUC, Manipur branch general secretary Yumnam Ratankumar said the union, despite being under by the State Government, lacks co-operation with the same.
The union must strengthen its ties with the State Government for more efficient execution of developmental works, the general secretary added.
Regional Director of Central Board for Workers Education, Ministry of Labour and Employee MN Salam and INTUC advisor S Chaoba also attended the event.
The general session of the Union was also held during the observation today.
