The main objective of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Vishwa Vidyalaya is to impart spiritual knowledge and to uplift moral values in the society, Vidyalaya's women wing National co-ordinator and general director of the Vidyalaya's centres at Russia Raj Yogini Brahma Kumari Chakradhary said.
Addressing a press conference at its Vidyalaya's Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai centre on the eve of the one-day seminar on the role of mothers in restoring peace being organised at the banquet hall of 1st MR here tomorrow, she said that every male and female should aspire to possess the qualities of Lord Narayan and Goddess Luxmi respectively.
She said that the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya is an international organization affiliated to United Nations as NGO and has a place of honour as consultative status of UNICEF and UNESCO for imparting spiritual knowledge and practice of Raj Yoga meditation world-wide to uplift moral values and spiritual values in the society.
With its International headquarters at Mount Abu in Rajasthan, the Vidyalaya has about 6000 centres and branches spread all over the world, she informed.
Besides having opened various Centres in different parts of Russia, the office branches of the Vidyalaya have also been set up Latvia, Khazakhistan, Siberia, Ukraine as well as at USA, UK and Australia, she added.
The Manipur Centre of the Vidyalaya was established in 1992 with its headquarters at Kwakeithel.
So far two sub-centres and three branches of the Vidyalaya have also been sent up in different parts of the State.
