Manipuri cultural items enthralled the audience including Karnataka Governor Hansraj Bhardwaj on the second day of Manipuri Kumhei at Bengaluru today.
The presentations of the festival were organised at Karnataka Rajbhavan today with Governor Hansraj Bhardwaj as the chief guest.
Thang-Ta, Lai Haraoba, Pena, Tribal dance, Ras Leela and Pung Cholom were staged during the cultural evening.
The festival was organised under the supervision of Officer on Special Duty of Manipur Liason office, Bengaluru, Dr Dr V Ramakantha under the sponsorship of the Government of Manipur.
Chief Secretary of Manipur, DS Poonia and Art and Cutlture Commisionaire RK Nimai were also present in the cultural evening attended by Manipuri people residing in Bengaluru.
Three Manipuri films Mami Sami, Nung Amadi Yerum and Phijigi Mami were screened at Central College auditorium of Bangalore University as part of the festival yesterday.
