Woman found charred to death at Kakching Mahadeva hills

The severely burnt remains of a woman was discovered yesterday atop Kakching Mahadeva hills in Thoubal district.
It is suspected that the woman is the one who was reported missing from Wabagai.
The corpse, of which the upper portion was burnt, was discovered by some people who went to the hills to collect firewood.
It was already dusk when the news about the discovery reached Kakching.
After examining the body by a joint team of Kakching police and forensic science experts of Manipur police today, the corpse has been deposited at JNIMS mortuary.
Except for a ring worn on a finger of the left hand, some pieces of unburnt clothes and some flesh on the legs, the body was completely charred.
Moreover, the head was also found severed and it was found lying some 30 feet away from the body.
It is suspected that the woman could be Keisham Premila (44) d/o Irabot of Wabagai Thingel Leikai.
Premila went out from her home in the night of March 25.Since then, she has been missing.
However, her family thought that she might have eloped with a man.
As the unknown man's family failed to show up to inform about elopement, Premila's started searching for her.
A missing report was also filed at Kakching police station.
In their search for Premila, the family members came to know that she had affair with one Ksh Khelendro (34) of Kakching Ningthou Leikai since two/three months back.
But it was found that there was no one by the name of Ksh Khelendro in Kakching Ningthou Leikai.
Until now, family members who came to retrieve the body could not say with any certainty that it was Premila's body.
It is reported people saw wildfire raging around the spot where the corpse was found in the first week of April.
Along with registration of a case, Kakching police have started investigation.
