ICHAM supports indefinite bandh on NH 37

ICHAM has extended support to the indefinite bandh called on national highway 37 by Rongmei Naga Youth Organisation Manipur against the negligence of maintenance of the road by the state government and the BRO official.
Speaking to the media person at its office at Lamlong Keithel today the president of ICHAM, N.Rajen said that for more than 15 years state government and BRTF has been neglecting and mis-utilizing the fund for proper maintain of road by submitting wrong report to the central government without listening the peoples' voice .
The ICHAM president expressed surprised over the government decision to renovate the road yesterday after a body had called indefinite bandh along the route.
He further said that said that as per the report in 2010, Rs 21.33 crore was sanctioned for the construction of Lungkao to Kaiphundai of Maku and in 2015 Rs 11.5 crore was sanctioned for the construction of Awangkhul road.
He question the government over its failure to monitor the works carried out by the BRO .
He further said that state government should summon BRO officer if found any guilty then should take action according to the law.
