Functionaries of village authorities from over 800 Naga villages in Manipur will participate in the event which has been christened as the First Conference of the Naga Village Authority of South Nagalim.

T Moses, TS Womgam, Seth Shatsang and LM Tabitha will address the conference.
Noted advocate from Manipur High Court, R Daniel will dwell on the topic, "Land and Village Administration" .
UNC president Gaidon Kamei will read out the declaration of the 1 st conference of the Naga Village Authority.
Gaidon Kamei informed Newmai News Network this evening that a programme such as this has become a matter of urgency as "our ancestral lands" have been exploited by the Manipur Government in the name of development.
"On the pretext of setting up multi-purpose projects the Manipur Government has been exploiting our ancestral lands.
If this is not checked urgently we will be left with no lands," Gaidon Kamei said.
The UNC president termed the Inner Line Permit related movement in the Manipur valley and the demand of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) status for the Meiteis as "ploys to grab our ancestral lands" .
Meanwhile, UNC general secretary S Milan has appealed to transporters to halt traffic along National Highway-2 at Senapati district headquarters from 10 am till 2 pm on October 19 .
The UNC has also extended invitation to all the Churches leaders, senior citizens, political leaders, youth, women, student activists, intellectuals and professionals to the conference.
