Jan Seva Abhiyan: Mobile vaccination drive held at Makui

Kangpokpi, June 13 2021: 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 Sector Assam Rifles IGAR(E) undertook an inimitable initiative in association with Kangpokpi District Health officials for the local populace in Tuilong area of the district.

As a part of the initiative, a Mobile Covid vaccination drive was conducted at Makui village today, said a statement of PIB Defence Wing.

The drive was organised and assisted by the Unit Chief Medical Officer and Post Commander of 44 Assam Rifles Gelnal along with MO incharge PHC T Waichong for the local population as a 'Jan Seva Abhiyan' to strengthen the battle against the CO VID-19 pandemic and facilitate access to the nationwide "Covid Vaccination Drive" .

69 persons above the age of 18 years were vaccinated on the day.

Makui village chairman, NK Silakbou expressed his gratitude towards the 44 Assam Rifles for organising the Covid vaccination drive in the village.
