Save Agriculture, Save Democracy Day' observed

Many extended solidarity to nationwide farmers protest against the three controversial farmers which completed seven months today.
In connection with the 'completion of 200 days of Nationwide farmer's protest under the aegis of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha, a sit in protest was staged at Kangmong in Imphal West district today.
The protest was staged by All Manipur Nupi Marup under the supervision of National Federation of Indian Women (NFIW) led by its National vice president Th Sakhi Devi, said a press release by All Manipur Nupi Marup.
The protesters also raised slogans against the rising petrol and gas prices and appealed to all concerned to revoke the controversial farm laws and urged the Government to save the farmers.
As a part of nation wide Sanyukt Kisan Morcha's protest on 'Save Agriculture-Save Democracy', Farmer's Joint Action Committee Manipur convened a meeting at Irabot Bhawan at BT Road today.
The meeting was attended by N Singhajit, president of Manipur Loumi Lup, L Sotinkumar secretary of CPI Manipur and Kshetrimayum Santa, secretary of CPI (M) as presidium members.
During the meeting, Haobijam Ibobi Singh, convenor of Farmer's Joint Action Committee Manipur spoke in detail about the three controversial farm laws which is against the people and alleged that the Union Government is an anti farmers Govt which favours the elite and corporate classes.
Later, a delegation led by N Singhajit went to Raj Bhavan and sent a memorandum to the President of India through the Governor of Manipur.
