Woman 'murders' second husband

In an appalling incident, a 42-year-old woman allegedly murdered her second husband by brutally slitting his throat and went to her first husband's house at Andro Khoibu Shantipur under Andro police station in Imphal East district last night.
It is informed that police have arrested the woman and her first husband.
Police sources said that the trio belong to the same locality and the woman identified as Pukham (N) Tejpati estranged herself from her first husband Yumkhaibam Kulla-chandra (47) s/o Herachandra to stay with Chingkham Panchom (42) s/o (L) Apabi around six months back.
Tejpati and Panchom were heavily drunk and they slept together at the latter's courtyard last night.
The woman suddenly took out a knife and not only stabbed Panchom on the chest and head but also brutally slit his throat to death.
After committing the crime, she shouted loud and ran to her first husband Kullachandra's house.
Later in the night, Andro police arrested Tejpati and Kullachandra after Panchom's family filed a complaint against them.
Police also have recovered a kitchen knife which was used by Tejpati in committing the crime.
After conducting full inquest of the crime scene, police picked up the body of Panchom and deposited at JNIMS morgue.
Panchom's family has claimed the body after post mortem examination today.
Tejpati has two sons and three daughters with her first husband while deceased Panchom had four children with his first wife.
It is not yet clear what prompted the woman to attack and kill her second husband.
