Imphal, May 18 2012:
A strong suspicion has been raised whether seniority list of doctors has been manipulated in a bid to promote five Grade II doctors to Grade I .
A reliable source informed that the seniority list compiled by the Medical Directorate was not compatible with the one compiled by Heath Department, Secretariat.
It is reported that the Grade II doctors were recruited by Manipur Public Service Commission for better implementation of the National Rural Health Mission.
The list compiled by the Medical Directorate has the names of 42 Grade II doctors and it is attached with another list of doctors who were appointed exclusively for NRHM.
It also mentioned about the case pending in Court with regard to five particular doctors.
On the other hand, seniority list compiled by the Health Department, Secretariat is for eight doctors only.
Of the eight doctors, three are common in both the lists while the names of the remaining five doctors are listed separately in the list compiled by the Health Directorate, citing a pending case in Court.
No final ruling has been issued with regard to the pending case concerning the five doctors.
