Various anomalies alleged in MCS main results

Pointing out various alleged anomalies in the recently declared Main results of the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examinations, some candidates have urged the Chief Minister and Governor to look into the matter.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference held at the canteen of DM College of Arts, the candidates said that excess number of candidates were selected in some categories while less number of candidates in some categories.
They said that 197 candidates were selected in the General category.
However, they added, the actual number of candidates to be selected in this category according to the rule is only 158. On the other hand, only 23 candidates were selected instead of 36 candidates in OBC (Meitei) category.
In the OBC (Pangal) category, only six were selected against the actual quota of 10 candidates, they said.
They further said that 22 and two candidates were selected less in the ST and SC categories as well.
However, in the PH Locomotive Disability category, four candidates were selected instead of two reserved seats.
In the PH Visual Impairment category, only one candidate was selected against the reserved quota of two seats, they added.
Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) declared the results for the said examination on July 31 last.
