A farmer by profession, Abdul Salam is the father of six children, two sons and four daughters.
Khalida is the fifth child.
She is a student of class VII in Anita Standard High School at Kwakta.
Abdul said that a day after the abduction, Akbar Khan, his sister Sajina and their mother Amubi Bibi have fled and the whereabouts of Khalida is not known.
It is said that the family of Akbar shifted to the locality from Mayang Imphal around 15 years back.
Working as a Veterinary Assistant, Akbar has loose moral character and just like him his sister too had been married to different men.
Pointing out that his daughter is still very young to become a bride, Abdul suspected that it may be a case of child trafficking.
After the alleged abduction, Sajina reportedly send SMS to Abdul threatening him and his other family members against taking up the matter with other people.
In connection with the abduction, Abdul has filed a complaint with the Moirang Police Station.
However, as Abdul is not satisfied with the conduct of the police, he has also lodged a similar complaint with the CJM Bishnupur.
Meanwhile, students of the school where Khalida is studying, today took out a silent protest march in Kwakta area and later staged a Wakat Meepham demanding immediate release of Khalida and revealing her whereabouts.
