Assuring that the Secular Progressive Front Government is committed to work for peace in Manipur, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has again appealed to all concerned especially the political party leaders to be more positive and constructive.
Addressing the gathering during the new office inauguration of SPF at Babupara today, the CM regretted that development has taken a back-seat due to the lingering law and order problem in the State.
Call of the hour is to foster unity cutting across all barriers and work for peace and prosperity of Manipur, a DIPR release quoted the CM as saying.
He stressed that opening of the new SPF office building is to facilitate close rapport of not only among leaders and members of the coalition partners but to enable general public express their grievances and suggest positive measures to tackle any issue.
He also expressed confidence that with the opening of the new building people irrespective of political affiliation would strengthen the hands of the Govt to pursue goals of peace and development.
